Who is behind Obsid Studio?
Obsid Studio is a small UK web design studio run by one designer. The person you talk to is the person who designs and builds your site, and who looks after it afterwards.
How long does a new website take?
Usually about two weeks from when we have what we need from you: your logo if you have one, some photos, and the details customers look for, like what you do, where you are, your opening hours and your prices. We agree a launch date before we start.
What's included in the monthly price?
Hosting, updates, security and up to 3 small changes a month. There's no separate bill for keeping your site online. A small change is one edit to something already on your site, like swapping a photo, rewording a paragraph or updating a price. New pages, sections and features are quoted separately.
Is there a contract?
Monthly plans have a 3-month minimum. After that you can keep going month to month, cancel with 30 days' notice, or buy your site outright: £400 for a One-page site, £600 for a Starter site. For a site built once, the hosting has no minimum: cancel any time with 30 days' notice.
Who owns my web address?
You do, always, even if you stop working with us. If you need help getting it back or setting one up, domain rescue is a one-off £75.
I already have a website. Can you redesign it?
Yes. Choose any plan and add £150, and we'll move your content across and redirect your old links, so you keep the Google rankings you have already earned.
Can I pay once instead of monthly?
Yes. We can build your site for a one-off price: £495 for a One-page site, £695 for a Starter site, paid half to start and half when you approve it. Then hosting and security are £20 a month from launch. Changes aren't included: we quote them first. It's rolling: cancel any time with 30 days' notice. If you leave with 30 days' notice and everything is paid, you can buy your site's files for £200 and host them elsewhere; otherwise the site comes down when the hosting ends. You can also move onto a monthly plan whenever you like.
How do I pay?
For monthly plans, nothing until you approve your finished site. Then the £195 setup and your first month are invoiced, and after that we invoice each month. For a site built once, half to start and half when you approve it, then £20 a month from launch. For Signature sites, half when you book and half at launch. You pay by bank transfer, so there's nothing to set up and no card details to share.
